I did it! I completed The Napa to Sonoma Half Marathon on Sunday!

Over 2000 people ran or walked the half marathon. 500 of us collectively raised 2 Million Dollars for The Crohn's & Colitis Foundation. Team Northwest had just under 40 participants and raised $150,000! With your generosity and support, I was able to raise $4500 of that! I really had no idea what to expect going in. I'm amazed at everyone's generosity!
This has been an awesome experience. I had no idea I could run a mile, let alone 13.1 miles! I'm happy to say that as of today -I'm walking normal again! ; )
I finished in just under 3 hours and realized through all the training that I really enjoy running. How cool is that!
By the way you can still make a donation if you like

I'm very excited to be a part of The Crohn's and Colitis Foundation's Napa to Sonoma Half Marathon (13.1 miles)! I've never done a marathon in my life so this is exciting. I've started training and really enjoy it, but I gotta admit I'm a little sore!
This is a big personal challenge for me. I work out regularly, but am not much of a runner, so this is not exactly a cake walk for me. The Crohn's & Colitis Foundation is helping to fund research to cure Crohn's Disease and Colitis. They also support kids with the disease with Camp Oasis.
We leave for Napa on July 18th, the half marathon is on July 20th.
I've lived with Crohn's Disease for the last 25 years.

Thanks!

I'm excited to be a part of Tuxes & Tails Celebrity & Pet Fashion Show again this year. It's The Seattle Humane Society's biggest fund raising event.

If you're an animal lover, it's for you! It's a lot of fun to see everyone with their pets or adoptable pets from The Humane Society.
I'm especially excited to be a part of Tuxes & Tails this year because I'll be bringing the newest member of our family, Big Mack Daddy!
My son got his girlfriend a Pomeranian puppy last year and guess who ended up hitting it off with him? It's a good thing too since I told my son "absolutely not" when he asked about getting him.
My son doesn't always listen to me (shocking isn't it?) I came home one day to find this cute little Pomeranian puppy in my house and fell for him. He's been a member of our family for almost a year now. He's a real sweetheart and I know he'll enjoy Tuxes & Tails because he's very social.
